#1 I love this spiral staircase beside the Melbourne Art Centre and always take a photo when I'm in the area.

All excellent images John. Good treatment on the staircase - nice grunge look (Nik?). I love the posters/signs. Fabulous colourful reflections in the Hamer Hall shot.

Thanks for having a look and commenting Isac. Yep NIK Silver Efex, I couldn't get the look I was after with a B/W layer. I'll have another crack at a later date. There isn't much colour to work with in the original image.

Nik did a good job but much more fun doing it with your own adjustment layers. You can create the same effect using a B&W adj layer and hen adding film grain and a curves adj layer to get the tones right. I have written a film grain action if you want to use it. Let me know. If you send the original I'll see if I can get a similar effect without Nik.

It's on the way, you should have it by the time I finish typing this reply

Did my best. A bit different than NIK (I didn't include the frame) but still added some film grain to give it the grunge look, highlighting the bright areas. All good fun

Good set here John and I really like #1 and I prefer it to Isac's version, I think the higher contrast works better here.

Thanks Alan, as I commented in the OP I like these steps and always get a shot of them whenever I'm in the area.
