That’s an impressive sculpture Paul, and well photographed. What’s the story behind it.

Great images Paul. Well photographed and very good detail. Colours are great as well. Obviously a great story behind what drove them to perform such a mammoth task in putting it all together.

The guns and knives we handed in as part of an amnesty by Manchester police, so all these were from the Manchester area, and the Bee is the emblem of Manchester.
It was made by the British Ironworks in Shropshire ... their first sculpture was The Knife Angel,( made from 100,000 knives and swords) and both of these are displayed around the UK to try and combat the rise in Knife and Gun crime.

As Hans stated, a very worthy cause. It would be nice to see it adopted on a wider scale.

Lovely photos and great story. I'm wondering whether the U.S. would adopt the same measure. It would probably create employment for millions of metal workers for many years.

... and a lot more than that. Maybe a replica of that big building that lives at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW Washington, DC
