  • The Blue House

    G'day all

The Blue House ... a "Queenslander-style" house, timber frame, timber exterior, built above ground with plenty of airways beneath to help keep cool during the hot 40+ degree summer days. And of course, some aircon does help too!

    As always, feedback welcome

Yes but it's not quite traditional - it's on concrete blocks and not wooden stumps. Not a colour I would choose for a house, but it looks good and well photographed.

      Hi Alan

yes - your observation/s are correct, and as to the colour, I can only presume that 'pale-blue' was on special the weekend they decided to do something

Being across the road from the Hotel Theodore its hardly surprising that its not traditional Qld style.

Nice shot, the property looks generally clean and well maintained (except the boards on the side missed the last coat of paint)

Is it an upside down house? This is not due to it being in Australia, what I mean is it looks like the living area is the top floor and other rooms below.

I always think it is a shame to see the air conditioning unit on the front.

      But great shot Phil

Maybe if you don't like the blue wigz , it may be nice to have it in the ORIGIN colour!

Which one ... the original blue house or the Thugby "State of Origin" coloured house?

                Isac

Very masculine looking, Greg, but I thought I saw a woman looking through the corner window/curtain?

I am sure she would not like baby blue or Brazilian mahogany
