  • A Tribute to a 1971 Plymouth "Hemicuda"

Perhaps the most desirable US made muscle car in the US is the 1971 Plymouth "Hemicuda", a Barracuda with a 426 CID hemi engine. Only 11 were made. This is a tribute car and not one of the eleven. Click image for larger version

Fabulous shot and in a great location. Good to see models from far distant lands.

      G'day Benji

Good to see you over here / Downunder mate ... incl your images of that great land "up there"

      Could I ask 2 things please ...
      a) what is a tribute car? and
      b) is the above image a composite? as the shadows don't quite seem to match the car's body

If it is a composite (or even if it is not), then 10/10 as it's a really beaut image

        Phil,

Yes it is a composite, I must work on those shadows! A "tribute" is a car that the build sheet and fender tag don't match what the car now has on it. This particular car was built with a six cylinder engine of 120 horsepower. It now has a V8 with 425 horsepower!

          Thanks Brian

Is that a bit like the fast food mob/s asking "do you wish to upsize your order to give you more to grunt about"??
