  • Shops years ago - someone's house these days

    G'day all

In many towns across the state, buildings are being repurposed from commercial to residential as the markets change and demands for housing increase

They are looking a bit sad Phil, but they make an interesting photo. I prefer the perspective in #2.

I to think the same as Alan on which one looks the best. But these are only opinions and mean nothing if you prefer the other one.
I wonder if they run the soapbox derby down the slope these old shops/homes are built on.

Lovely images of the old buildings Phil. Quite a difference in tone between both. Just an observation.

Good observation .. there will always be a difference in colour / tone when shooting from two locations. I have often discussed this with students ... how light changes as direct vs reflected etc. etc.
Try standing in the street sometime and look at the bitumen road ... how the same road can have different 'black/grey' colours depending upon where you stand in relation to the sun

Cheers Phil. It's something we see every day but it probably doesn't register with a lot of folks. I know exactly what you mean and as you know the difference in camera is the white balance. A quick play with the WB in post and you can get them to be the same. Is that cheating? HaHa
