Another very atmospheric image from you Phil. These misty mornings are yielding some great results for you.

Agree with GJ, very appealing. Your results are great in getting the message across about the atmosphere of the scene. I would like to do a quick edit if I may, I think the tree trunk on the right is a bit distracting and I have a trick to easily adjust it, nothing drastic though.

I also agree with GJ although I think the tree trunk makes it a little unbalanced

Funnily enough I hadn't noticed the tree trunk, the lines of the wall drew me further into the image. Thanks for pointing it out fellas

Atmosphere plus in this one . Alfred Hitchcock was here!

OK then. Just shifted the tree out of frame.

Yeah - okay - some would say that the overhead branches were missing a 'support' .... some people are never happy 1
Did you life the shadows at all as you so much like to do?

No other edits, only the tree trunk. Support for the branches not being in the image doesn't worry me.

Here's my take on your image Phil. As mentioned in an earlier post i hadn't noticed the tree trunk as I was so drawn into the image by following the path. However, once seeing the trunk it is a bit overpowering. You are right about the branches missing a support, so here is a compromise. No shadows were harmed during PP.

Nice one John. Here's another, just showing a way to not use the crop tool, while keeping the same aspect ratio (in this case 6 x 4).
