Sisto Malaspina the owner was murdered in the street in a terrorist attach a couple of years ago.

The location of the first espresso machine in Melbourne is the subject of quite a bit of debate. The University Cafe in Lygon St have one on display that they claim was the first one in Melbourne. I'm sure I have seen a third site that claims the first one at some stage as well.
