  • The 'black-soil' country of outback NSW

    G'day all

After a small amount of rain overnight, this farmer's ute driving from paddock to paddock has picked up the mud that creates havoc for travellers. Even as I walked around in my boots, I grew 3cm taller in the space of 150metres !

    As always, feedback welcome
    Phil

Shows it well. Remember a trip out that way in the seventies. Skated a v8 Falcon waggon to Moree What a mess.

Not just N.S.W. Phil, this shot was taken on the Quilpie Mail Run back in 2015. And when you hit the blacktop don't you love the sound of the mud hitting the underside of the ute for the next 5 K's or so.
