I haven't been out for a while and have been doing some more cleaning up of old shots. These caught my eye as they have been on the news a bit lately. From the Brisbane Valley Air Show in 2016.

    All with D800 and Sigma 120-300 f/2.8.

I must have processed #2 differently to the other two.

The 600 + passengers were glad to get strapped to the deck. I was not aware that the tail section was that high. Although I remember the huge hangars when taken for a tour by my brother in law of the air base at Atlanta. He flew F111s. You may have adjusted the exposure on #2 .I am always amazed at how the 260000 kg gets up there. You don't get the apprpriate sence of size from the pictures even though they are well captured.

Thanks for the comments Hans. I've never seen one up close on the ground and yes, photos without figures for reference don't give a good idea of the size. I read somewhere recently that the 600+ number was only for adults - with children included there were over 800 people on that flight.

Fabulous shots Alan. Great POV and your light is just right.
