Golden age of old machinery (2)

G'day all

Wandering around an old machinery collection I came across these old-fellas ~ it's at the Biloela Queensland Heritage Museum

1) Steam boiler gauge and relief valves

exif- Panny FZ-2500; 1/500s x F4,5; ISO-125; lens at max zoom / 480mm FFequiv

2) the flywheel, now brightly repainted

exif- Panny FZ-2500; 1/640s x F4,2; ISO-125; lens at 4x zoom / 100mm FFequiv

Old machinery is fascinating Phil. I like the bold colour and shape in #2. The white objects in big of #1 are a bit distracting.

Red and green should not be seen. Exept in photos of course. Nice strong compositions and bright colours Phil.

I'm going to be picky!! The gauge is the first thing my eye landed on because it is the brightest part of the image, it was central and the main element of the image. Great image BUT the gauge seems too bright to read the markings. Currently it's 8/10 but with the gauge corrected it would be a 10/10 and a stronger image. I know you won't mind the CC so here's what I meant.

But it now doesn't look as old and faded I do sympathise and need a photoshop for old farts.
