  • Golden age of old machinery (1)

    G'day all

Wandering around an old machinery collection I came across these old-fellas

    1) Chain Drive

    exif- Panny FZ-2500; 1/20s x F4,1; ISO-800; lens at 4x zoom / 95mm FFequiv

    2) bulldozer tracks

    exif- Panny FZ-2500; 1/200s x F4,5; ISO-125; lens at 360mm FFequiv

    As always, feedback welcome

    Phil

That brings back memories Phil. Lovely presentation with lots to like about your images with good detail and lovely long shadows on the dozer tracks. I was a mechanic in the coax cable laying crew during the 70's in the wheatbelt and worked on a few of those tracks on the D9s.

My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.

I really like image #2 Phil. Lovely balance of light and shadows.

Both good Phil, but #2 stands out for me - the angle of the light really emphasizes the shapes.

Just to be different I prefer #1 I like all the warm tones and the contrast of the soft colours and the hard metal.

            G'day fellas

Which ever one you prefer is fine by me coz I'm happy with both of 'em
#1 was a faded orange - no attempt back then for the colours to blend in with the environment! -- and #2 was outdoors, just getting rusty
