Just Plain shots ...

... of planes I see going overhead.

#1 - De Havilland Dash 8-400 twin-turboprop DH8D (Cobham Aviation "JetEx"). Takes workers from Perth to various North-West mines.

#2 - De Havilland Canada DHC-8-315Q Dash 8 (Skippers Aviation). Takes workers from Perth to Mount Magnet mines.

#3 - Piper PA-44 Seminole twin-piston PA44 (SOUTHERN AVIATION PTY LTD). Flies the Perth/Bunbury round trip 13 times per week.

Always good fun to sit quietly under some activity and shoot the occasional pic (in between sipping something nice maybe !!)
A set of beaut shots here

Now - I suppose that you noticed the swirl of air movement behind each propellar??

and I spoze it also was good use of your 'damn-fine' 18-400 zoom as well !!

Nothing gets past you Phil. Full zoom at 400. At first glance when viewing the images on my PC, I thought something went weird with the shots but realised it was the air disturbance caused by the props - it's rather interesting that the camera picks up that sort of thing. I intend to visit the viewing platform at Perth Airport soon to get some shots of the planes coming and going. It's a pretty good spot to get good action shots.
