  • San Francisco

Some images of San Francisco as seen from the deck of the Norwegian Sun back in October 2017.
    Canon 7D, Sigma 24-105.
Images taken between 6:15 P.M. and 6:30 P.M. local time.

#1 f10, 1/13, ISO 100 @105mm, Just marginally better than sailing out of Sydney, you get to sail under the Golden Gate Bridge. No sailing under the Coathanger in Sydney.

#4 f4.0, 1/500, ISO 400 @ 24mm. Not as speccy as the Coathanger IMHO, but still a magnificent sight.

I like Vancouver as a visit. San Fran is a good visit. Nearly as good as Sydney.

But there are sailings under the coat hanger . From a cruise to New Zealand. I had a picture which showed how close it was to the bridge but it seems to have taken fright.

Better a full bottle in front of me

The four sailings I've done from Sydney all set sail from circular Quay, wrong side of the bridge.

Vancouver reminded me so much of Melbourne.

It was a step up on Seattle. I could live there easily

Your pics are good enough for a magazine John. The only thing I'd do is remove the crane in #1. It's pretty sharp for 1/13th. Other than that, all beautiful. #2 is a beauty.

Thanks for the kind words Isac. I see where you're coming from regarding the crane, it's a hard choice sometimes as to show the image as you saw it, or to clean up some of the less pleasing aspects. In hindsight a single crane a tad distracting from the image, on the other hand a skyline dotted with cranes would be rather interesting.
