G'day mate
I certainly like the mono treatment for these subjects - it seems to make it more visually powerful as colours do not come into it
I like the movement in #2 and the lighting matching the subject in #5

Hi Phil. I'm not a big fan of colour for its own sake. It has to ADD to the visual impact of the picture as well as 'speak' to the viewer, which is mostly me, about the content and context presented. I'm not a 'realist' with my photos. I like imagininging what it would look like some other way. I do the imagininging before the picture is taken and let the story unfold as I approach the final image. The results aren't beautiful or aesthetically pleasing, nor are they to please others. It's just a think I do. That doesn't stop me from enjoying other images. I've had a look at your web site and images. That sounds like a pleasant thing to do. How does it go for you? Do you gat many takers? Where to you visit on your journeys? I'm sure you have some interesting stories to go with your photos. Love to hear them. Cheers Tom
