The search for MH-370

Well if you are into aircraft then Perth is the place to be at the moment with the USA, Korea, Japan, NZ etc military planes heading out each day looking for MH-370 off our coast. Its so good to see the chinese military here and even letting our Aussie RAAF pilots fly them! The main plane i have been trying to hard to photograph is the Chinese HUGE Ilyushin IL-76 . Because they are military , you can track when they are coming or going but i knew that they would return from the search around 12.45pm. I wasted all the way till 2.30pm and it finaly came in. There was lots of Chinese media there aswell doing live feeds to China. Snapped a few shots of them aswell Hope you like and lets hope they find something soon.

Wow you did a good job of waiting and finally getting the shots of the Chinese plane. I don't watch the news, just read it online so didn't know Perth was abuzz with those different countries. I did know that with HMAS Towoomba doings it's thing over there has had some media buzz as my friend whose hubby is on the ship complained about the media and she wishes they would go away. Not sure how invasive they are with the crew or families though.

Thanks for that series of photos. I particularly liked the ones of the patiently waiting press.

I too hope for answers for the families. To never know what has happened will leave a lot of people in limbo, and I'd hate for that to happen.

The eagle has landed. Think it's a little odd for a tail decoration on a navy plane as to me the eagle seems to be saying eeek rather than gotcha.

You beauty! Just sitting at the lunch bar eating lunch right under the flight path and i was watching the flight radar 24 app. Nothing showing up then out of know where it comes along.... The RAAF Wedgetail! I got some really good shots! I will post them up soon

Just watched the US pilots get off the other P. Not so brightly colourd. Good to see the US here with 2 Submarine killers!

Like the latest ones of being right under the Wedgetail. Very cool indeed.
Hubby was showing me that flightradar24.com the other day and how busy the various airports are .. ie LA compared to Sydney and so on.
