This was a bit of an unusual one. Moored at the start of the Three Peaks Race at Beauty Point today was a full scale replica of a Spanish Caravelle. Owned and built by a Victorian couple out of reclaimed timbers complete with an open fireplace to burn wood for heating!
Nice shots. I like the little cannons. I guess that they would be useful if the enemy was in touching range.
I think it's a Portguese Caravelle. From memory it is a recreation of the mythical Portugese Mahogany Ship that is supposedly buried in the sand near Warrnambool.
