These rides looked old to me when I was young, now they look ancient.

I went with a b&w conversion to try and present them as scary and almost sinister.

Exif: f/22 ss 1/50 iso 100 cpl used to allow slower shutter on both.

I know the feeling. I looked old years ago, and now I look ancient too!

These look really interesting pieces of equipment, and well captured by you. I particularly like the way in #2, the top bucket thing is clear while the front one and the others are blurred.

The B&W looks good, although the whiteness of the sky is a bit stark. I don't know a way around this, if it's a problem. Nahh, the more I look the less of an issue it is, although it did hit me at first look!!

My indecision is final, I think.

Thank you Charles for the feedback.

I might be able to tone down the starkness of the white by backing off the two blue sliders in a b&w layer. I'll have a play and see what happens.

I must be getting old because there is no way you would get me on one of these! These both look good but I do prefer the composition of the second one, and like Charles at first the white of the second one seemed a bit stark but I think that is possibly just in comparison to the first one.

Yep love the second one - it looks really graphic. I can imagine this being used in an advertisment or something. Nice!

Me neither! Too much screaming going on lol. I reckon the second is the better image as well. Thanks Tania.

great images Mick I don't find the stark white background worrisome at all...IMHO if were any other color the shots would lose their
zip. The stonger of the 2 is the second image....excellent motion with a wonderful dynamic created by the metal framework of the ride and
they way you have positioned it in the frame.
                2 thumbs up from Timmy
                cheers

Cheers Ian. I kept pushing the contrast till the people's legs were nice and clear.

I went for the 'just about to fall over' look with the second image and agree it's the stronger of the two. Spent the morning at the North West Expo and these are the only two images I came away with lol. The creaking of the machinery attracted my attention as I was walking past.
