Good subject. To me the BG should be totally black to make the subject pop more. I also think it would look more minimalist if the subject was smaller in the frame, but that's just me and I guess it's exactly the look you wanted.I Shoot A Canon

A striking image - I like the starkness of it. Not sure about the background - I think black would work but I don't mind it as presented. I wonder how it would look with less empty space at the bottom.Comment
