Very nice John. The contrast and strong shapes work well together.

Thanks Alan, I was very careful when composing this image that I had all the centre corners in line.
This was a 4 minute exposure using a 3 stop and a 12 stop ND filter combined. Using this method I was able to eliminate all the passers by and people congregating on the balconies.

Nice work mate. Good contrasting with the various angles and perspectives. Do I note a slight blue tinge?

Part of the B/W conversion process, experimenting with a few different things. This is a NIK Silver Efex conversion, and I had a bit of a play with the sliders as I didn't quite like the image the default settings gave.

I've given up using NIK. I get much better results from PS. BUT in saying that, I know it's quick and popular too. The inspiration image for me looks very great with the sepia tone colour effect. You image to me looks a bit cold, for the want of a better word. The building is a lovely limestone colour with some rust coloured tints, so I would lean towards a warmer look - just me though, I'm sure others will differ. Your angles POV for that shot is excellent BTW.
