Seven years on

I stumbled across these today. Same camera, same location.

August 2013. Still showing the effects of the February 2009 bushfires through the area. This is a multi shot HDR that was then converted to black and white in SEP2



August 2020. Single shot. I think this one was converted to an Ansel Adams recipe I have in LR that I downloaded from somewhere. A big change in the foliage

Not often you get the same lighting though. Do you think the extra foliage is due to all the rain we have had ? Looks like a few sunsets or rises with no wind might be on the cards for a prize winner.

The bushy area on the left of both pictures is an island so it was not burnt. The area to the right was completely burnt out in February 2009, there were only dead trees standing so in 2013 when the first photo was taken there was 4 years regrowth, by 2020 when the second was taken there had been 11 years regrowth.

Interesting to see the change over time. Both excellent shots with different interpretations of the scene
