Tri-X, the real thing

I couldn't resist when I saw K1W1's post. Here are a few film shots on Tri-X taken in the last few years. All from 6x7 on 120 film.

I tried a cheaper film but not happy with the results so I'm going back to Tri-X or HP5+. I like to dabble with film occasionally, mostly due to nostalgia.

Seems to work well for you Alan. Lovely contrasts in all and beautifull shades. My grand kids range from 1 to 25, quite a herd.

Takes me back a few years. Still have a bit of stuff hanging about but gave a roll of Ilford film in a tin away a couple of years ago which I had bought trade in UK in 68. Still have the old Canon Pelix and Ftb cameras and FD lenses.
Lovely quality Alan how do you digitise?

Thanks Hans. Yes, the “good” old days. I use the D800 with a macro lens. I was using a film scanner for 35mm and the camera for 120, but the scanner died last week, so it’s the camera for everything now. The camera is fiddly to set up, but fairly quick once that is done, and I think gives better results.
