It did bolt straight on, perfect fit and runs good, it’s an Amal Mk1 Concentric, much more reliable than the original Pre-Monoblock, I think it might be a type 75.
Ive got a box full of old ones of various types and vintage, but I bought the Concentric brand new.
Had the first model Triumph Bonneville with the chopped amals and the separate float chamber. Also had a BSA book which I lent to someone who got shot by a jealous husband so I lost it.
Now don't take this the wrong way Brad, but can you please injure yourself more often.
These are great. #2 in particular would look awesome on a shed wall.
Cheers Todd. I think I’ll pass on the more injuries thing, had my fair share when I was younger, mostly from motorbikes except for one notable 4wd accident.
I used #2 for my avatar on a few forums for quite a while.
I think I would retake it if I was going to print it, be more mindful of the background, tidy up the cables etc, and lift the clutch lever to where it should be, and maybe a smaller aperture to get all of the bike in focus.
This was a quick snapshot for a weekly challenge with the theme “ Spring “.
Ooo-Ahhhh I'm starting to get excited here gentlemen - all these naughty photos and talk of all things bikes. I'll wait patiently for a photo of the whole bike though. I had a Honda 175 back in the early 70's. I used to have a mate on the back carrying my guitar and amp for me, quite a site. He only came off once and it was in a downpour in Kalgoorlie. I looked back and he was on his backside holding the guitar and amp up out of the mud - what a great guy!
At least he had his priorities in order. It would have been hard to hold on whilst looking after your gear. Did he work for beer like most roadies did back then?
He had the guitar in hand, the amp across his lap and the other arm around me. Not the safest of ways to transport goods but it worked 99% of the time. He actually got a share of my spoils, because he was a good friend and helped set the gear up as well.
