Yes matey ... everyone who wishes to do the Western Explorer road from Strahan/ Zeehan up to Arthur River needs to cross the Pieman River here. Gives one about 150km of very interesting scenery, river crossings, etc. followed by one of the world's beaut river cruises on an old, timber boat is something great to behold

Yes did it at Christmas time myself.

You can get to the West coast without crossing the Pieman here via Savage River and Waratah, but it's a long way for a short cut!
