Definitely at the 'shack' stage .... almost at the derelict stage. Lots of stuff left behind inside .... I think the 'owner' is deceased, so not sure if anyone actually owns it anymore. Latest newspaper clippings dated 1978.

The fallen trees add to the sense of disrepair, well captured.

Thanks Mick ..... lots of fallen trees .... surprised none have actually fallen on the shack.

I like the image a lot for it's story, composition and feeling of age - BUT - I had a play with the contrast and it lifted the image greatly. To my eye the image has little variation in the shades. Sorry to be so up front but I'm sure you'll see what I mean when you change the brightness and contrast.

Be upfront all you like Isac
With this series of photos, from the mine, I have played with them using the B&W presets/filters in Lightroom and had them in Silver Efex looking for what was pleasing to my eye. Maybe I overlooked the obvious.

Thanks Barb for being so gracious! Here's the edit. It may not be to your liking and it was only a small image to work with.

      Thanks Isac
The stronger contrast has kept the main detail in the windows .... a feature that was frequently lost while I was playing around.
Overall I think this edit has 'made' the scene 'busier' by highlighting (contrasting) so much of the surrounding bush .... and has made the hut 'compete' to be the main feature of the image ...... and leaves (me) with a feeling of 'heaviness' coming from it.

Thanks Barb. I found it hard to get a god balance of shades as it was only a small image. perhaps a lighter vignette? Just a thought.

Will play some more .... see what I can come up with. Lighter vignette could be interesting, thanks Isac
