You're having fun with that UWA.

This really suits B&W, at first I thought it was too bright on the lower L/hand side but now I'm liking it...balance's well with the top right.

Just a tad picky now ...perhaps you could clone out the little bit of power line? (Just typing out loud...)

You have some great architectural subjects to photograph Greg. This church and the water tower you posted recently look to be very interesting and challenging subjects.

People have offered a variety of comments and I don't disagree with any of them.

But one thing that no-one has said is that your crops in both cases are rather tight. It would be good to see both the church and water tower in context. Let me see what is around, how they fit in the landscape. Let the subject breathe on the canvas.
      Charles

My indecision is final, I think.

Thanks for your help an input Charles. I always am in two minds as to what to include and what to crop out.. time and again you see comments about things being a distraction rather than adding to an image so my inclination is to simplify rather than be inclusive of surroundings.

The Water Tower in another thread gave me little choice as to whether to attempt a shot of it or not. It's alongside a major road on a corner with a large power pole with transformer and much wiring surrounding. I went to quite a bit of trouble to get an angle which elliminated much of the 'rubbish' to focus on the tower itself.

Your comment re the Church crop is accepted. I've taken a number of shots with ultra wide angle and rather than try and straighten all the lens distortion (which I'm not very good at), I've opted to crop to get rid of it. Yes it's a bit tight!

Here's a couple of uncropped views.
