  • Misty Dawn

    Hi

A bit misty and frosty at 'Caralan' this morning. There is an 'Oily' version of this over in 'Artistic'

    Thanks for having a look.

I've just seen these over in Flickr Alan, love this one but your oily one caught my eye even more.
You can have your fogs and frosts, where I live we are quite close to the water and rarely get a frost or fogs.
The fog gives such a pleasant ambience to this photo.

Thank you for letting me a have a look.
Like the moody interpretation of what might otherwise be an ordinary scene.
Particulary like the lovely side light and mist, that twisty central branch.

Haven't been there, not done that.

A superb composition! Love how you have placed the main tree neatly between the two small grass plants in foreground, it firmly anchors and 'levels' the image.

Strong verticals and lots of triangular shapes throughout the image (I like triangles!). Love the way the distant tree is framed by the branch, love the light.

Whats not to love about this! Beautiful.

Thanks Jenne. The sun shining through the mist/fog is about the only good thing about Wamboin Winters

Thanks for pointing out all that stuff Mick - of course I'm sure my freezing brain would have considered those compositional elements - hmm - but I think it just wanted to get the body back in the warm house

(I added the straight colour version to the Oily thread)

          Cheers
