I've ridden past scenes like this several times and thought "if only". I see you have made the most out of your opportunity.
I think this would have been tricky to process, I suppose you aimed to get maximum bird per branch space. Black and white great at emphasising the organic shapes and textures. Reminds me a little of your galah on a line shot.
I reackon you could remove the branch leading out at the top in the first image.

Not too hard to process Jo. Just need to select the right 'white point' in the clear sky with Curves, after converting to B&W, and then tidy up with a white pen. I did it in a hurry, so probably room for improvement. Good point too about that branch - I thought the same thing, but needed to go to bed
