Taken this afternoon as the storm rolled in from the south.
The mouth of Bonville Creek was blocked with silt since August this year. Water level was rising with threat of flooding properties.
The Coffs Council finally decided to take action after months of undecisiveness. The excavators were rolled in and start working on Wednesday morning near the mouth of Bonville Creek to alleviate the build up of silt.
You can see from this picture the waterline on the log. Just after 3 days, the level had dropped considerably.
