A classical ballet dancer in full flight during a recent dance eisteddfod in Port Macquarie.

I love the raw emotion and drama in the image and is one of my favourites that I've captured in recent times.

It also goes to show that old newspaper gear, such as the lens I shot this with, can still get the job done!

Converted to grey scale, slight crop and unsharp mask.

I like this very much - you are right - it is filled with drama - love to see a ballerina mid-flight! I guess the only thing I don't care for is the harsh lighting on her forehead - other than that - fabulous!

The movement capture is great, but the overexposure on the face and dress are very distracting. A beautiful moment in time, otherwise.
