  • Sandy Camp Road wetlands

I went back to this site this morning after reading someones comment that there was a lot of bird activity there. Perhaps I'm just not seeing them but I found it very quiet.

    1. Red-backed Fairy-wren. I saw several of these but only managed a clear shot at this one.

    2. Male Superb Fairy-wren in transition. This one came really close; so close that I couldn't focus and kept cutting off either his feet or tip of tail Click image for larger version

Lovely birdie shots Alan. A real eye to eye with that wren...

Gorgeous, what a pleasure. Particularly #1 & #2 . #4 is an interesting image but the pose on the bird seems a little strange. But then what can you expect from a Drongo
Better a full bottle in front of me
    than a full frontal lobotomy.

Thanks Hans. I waited for the Drongo to turn towards me but this is the best it did. Actually I have an older photo of one with its head cocked in a similar way.

Love them all as usual Alan. The detail that rig is giving you is right up there with the best, and always enhanced with your camera skills.

I just fired myself from cleaning my house.
I don't like my attitude and I caught myself drinking on the job.

Thanks Isac. It helps when the subject comes close but that doesn’t happen often.

We all well know that birding involves much patience.
Working...
