Sandy Camp Road wetlands

I went back to this site this morning after reading someones comment that there was a lot of bird activity there. Perhaps I'm just not seeing them but I found it very quiet.

1. Red-backed Fairy-wren. I saw several of these but only managed a clear shot at this one.


2. Male Superb Fairy-wren in transition. This one came really close; so close that I couldn't focus and kept cutting off either his feet or tip of tail

3. A crop of the previous image showing the detail available when they come close

4. Spangled Drongo

Gorgeous, what a pleasure. Particularly #1 & #2 . #4 is an interesting image but the pose on the bird seems a little strange. But then what can you expect from a Drongo

Thanks Hans. I waited for the Drongo to turn towards me but this is the best it did. Actually I have an older photo of one with its head cocked in a similar way.
