  • I'm the King of the Castle

    G'day all

I'm the King of the Castle ... well for a short while anyway!

I live in an area surrounded by Norfolk Pine trees, very tall trees and much favoured by the birds
I had noticed this cockatoo showing a likening for the topmost bit of several local trees while it sqwarked and showed off its location to its mates. Sadly for the cockatoo, it also drew the attention of a 'thugby-team' of Noisy Miners who dive bombed the cocky until it gave up and departed - to another tree about 200m away

1)- Hey- this looks okay - now to settle in for a while

    typical exif- Panny FZ-200; 1/1000s x F4,0; ISO-100; lens at 24x zoom / 600mm FFequiv -- then heavily cropped

2)- Where are my mates to see what I'm up to?

3)- Hey - gimme a break! I just got settled

4)- Hey - Leave me alone ya bugga

5)- Ah shoot - I'll try another joint

    As always, feedback welcome
    Phil

Like pictures that tell a story. My pic #3

Yes, a great photo story. Makes you wonder what goes on in the bird world.

Good photos, well exposed for sky shots...
