Sandy Camp Road birds

Spent a lot of time wandering around and getting nothing but still managed to get a few decent images. Very few of the usually abundant water birds were there - just a few Black Ducks, Dusky Moorhen and White Ibis.

3. Chestnut-breasted Mannikin with nesting material


4. Baby Willie Wagtails. The nest was just a couple of metres off the path and opposite a viewing platform.

Thanks Mark. I would have liked to get photos of the adults feeding them but don't like waiting around near nests.

All wonderful shots, colours and framing. The willies are nesting everywhere now. We have a Little Gem magnolia tree outside our bedroom windo and the last few weeks have seen 2 lots birds hatched and now a 3rd have just laid eggs all in the same nest. A few pics with the zoom so I don't bother them.
