  • Water birds at Sandy Camp Road

I went out early yesterday to try and get some shots before the strong, and cold, westerly wind came up. It's more difficult in winter as leaving early enough to miss the traffic means starting in the dark. Left a bit later but the traffic wasn't too bad.

    1. Little Pied Cormorant. Exposing for the white plumage under-exposed the rest of the image but I rather liked the effect.

    2. Australasian Darters. Had to combine two images for this as the only two shots with good focus each had one of the birds with its head down.

Beautiful shots Alan. Love the light in the first two with that first one in particular being my favorite.

My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.
