    Redshank

Almost got them together, but the Greenshank turned away hurriedly when they were within 3 metres or so...

Bit of racial tension between the Green and Red shanks? They remind me of the birds that fly between NSW AU and Siberia Russia. It is a privaledge to see them.

Never seen these birds Mark. They look similar body and head shape to our stilts. Such a lovely dainty bird. TFS.

Nice shots and good to see some new species. Apparently we do get them out here but I've never seen them. My app says the Redshank is uncommon but probably a regular summer visitor to sites around the coast.

          Thanks for the comments...

The Redshank are very common around our shores, apparently 100 to 1 re the Greenshank...
