Some small birds from Monday's walk

1. Superb Fairy-wren in the shade but with a bit of morning sun filtering through.


2. Another Superb Fairy-wren


3. Red-browed Finch



4. Red-browed Finch on the bridge rail. One of these landed on the path less than a metre in front of me and didn't seem at all bothered.


5. Brown Honeyeater. This was in shade with a sunlit background so I had to lift the shadows quite a bit and getting the colours anywhere close to correct took a bit of fiddling.

All great shots Alan. The light in #1 is perfect for getting our focus on the bird. #5 is a classic shot for me.

Thanks Isac. I was pleased and a bit surprised at how well #5 came up, considering it started as almost a silhouette.

It's amazing how software has developed over the years and is now letting us turn just about any "average" shots into keepers.
