  • Swans are growing.

    Now teenagers in their soft down. It will soon turn grey and then finally black and get their red beaks just like their parents.

      Well caught. At Chittaway, there are literally hundreds of Black Swans, but I have not seen any babes (cygnets) at all. A bit odd I thought..

        Mark, I think they nest in freshwater lakes and swamps.

      Great shots. Must be nice to watch them grown up.
      Fujifilm X-T5, XF16-80 f/4, XF70-300 f/4-5.6, XF23 f/2, XF35 f/2, XF150-600 f/5.6-8, and a random assortment of 35mm film cameras.

        Thanks guys. They only lost one cygnet so all seems to be going along well. It is fabulous to watch them growing up. I hope they stay. The water is evaporating quickly, so here's hoping.
