Great Egret

This bird let me approach quite closely but it was sitting in a tree on the river bank partly obscured by foliage and in mixed sun and shade. I took a few shots that didn't look very good so tried moving along the track and shooting between the intervening branches with this result. I rather like the dark ominous looking background - something a bit different.
