  • Songbirds and Raptors at Abbotts Mill

A chilly morning walk to catch some birds after about a month away from wildlife photography since I was so focused on the autumn colors. Nice little variety this morning.

Excellent set David. #4 is my favourite here - nice light, good pose, excellent detail and a clean background. The hawk comes close but I think the background is a bit bright and distracting.

Looking at Flickr, #2 has lots of feather detail but a bit dark on the bird.

I go with Alan with #6 but the background is a picture on its own but a bit distracting in a bird shot. 3 or 4 does show the bird's detail with good effect.

#4 is my pick with these excellent photos David. Just looks a bit cool to me though. I had a play to warm it up a tad and gave it a shadows lift too . Great shots.
