  • Another try at Eagleby Wetlands

I think the birds were teasing me this morning, but got a few shots.

    5. Variegated Fairy-wren. I'm still trying to get a decent shot of these. At least I'm seeing them more often now but they aren't cooperating.

All lovely Alan. Bird shots are what you get at the time when they are in there own environment so it is what it is I guess. They are still fabulous to photograph and I like natural shots, it shows them as they are. When they seem to pose in idealic surrounds - well that's a bonus. It's great that you can see them, so many more varieties than I will ever see.

My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.

Thanks Isac. You should try some of your local eBird hotspots for more variety.

I just signed up so I'll have a look around the site and see what it has to offer. I did put up a sighting with image for an Australian Hobby to see what happens. There's so many species and varieties. My best ever friend (a photgrapher) has sold his home in Collie and moving next week to a suburb next to mine so no doubt we will get out and explore. He is a member here (collietog) but was unable to post because of illness but he's doing much better now so I'll encourage him to join in more.

Sounds good Isac. I’ve found the hotspot maps and associated species lists useful for finding species-rich places in my area.
