    G'day Mark

Nice 'n sharp (as one expects from an Oly !!) .... I didn't know swans tucked their ''back end' up when dropping their front end

Nice colour and detail Mark. I've seen our Black Swans hold a leg up like that at times and not just when preening.

Lovely shot of the Mute Swan Mark. Like our black swans they have this air of gracefulness that is unmatched by other birds. Like Alan I've seen them with their legs outstretched. here's a link from October 2022. https://www.ausph.com/filedata/fetch...5&d=1665998441

I hope the cygnets aren't too far away at my local lake, it's been years since I've seen them here. They can have a clutch of 4 to 7 and with an incubation period of 34–45 days, they should be arriving within weeks.
