  • Looking back ...

... the reason being, that we met a great couple from Tasmania when we cruised up the Murray River on the Proud Mary back in April, 2012. We've kept in touch since then and they're visiting us next month. I'm sure they will enjoy reminiscing when they see all the shots from back then. These are a few of my "Birds In Flight" shots from back then (I did take 100's).

    #1 - Whistling Kite (1).

Beautiful shots. Nice work getting those swallows in flight.

Great collection Isac. I don't know how you get the swallows.

Thanks guys. The deck on the boat was only 30cm above the water so I was pretty low when shooting most of the time. I get the swallows by being patient and waiting for them to skim along the water caching little insects. I pan and use Servo mode with shutter priority to get a few keepers. I've learned a bit from that time and increased my shutter speed to 2/2000th and higher for better results. It was a most enjoyable trip and the scenery and bird life was a joy to see.
