I spent about three hours wandering around Eagleby Wetlands this morning. Saw and heard plenty of birds but they were all too far away, hiding in the bushes or in shadow against a bright background. I did have an enjoyable chat (more of a listen really) to another photographer.
Any way here are the few shots I got.
1. Grey Shrike-thrush. I seem to be seeing these everywhere lately. This one did give me some interesting poses and stayed reasonably close.
2. And again
3.
4. Little Egret showing its head plume. This is in the river - there isn't much water in the wetland and the main lake is totally dry.
5. Lewins Honeyeater. This one was in shade against the bright sky and I only got one shot at it, and haven't got the processing right yet.
