Plenty of great food on the lake's surface for these hungry little chaps. Very hard to separate males and females in the adults because they share the same colours and features.

#1 - That's it - eat up and grow big and strong.

#5 - Douglas cutting through the vegetation at lightning speed to get to the others.

Mama looks impressed. Looks like she has done a good job. While the ducklings are cute I think Mum looks best!

Thanks for that Hans. When I was snapping away, I looked at the parents and they were really fussing over the little ones. That's why I took the mum/dad shot which seemed to have a pleased look on it's face that almost looks like a smile.

It's a great time of year David. A;; the new arrivals for the different breeds is wonderful to see. And hopefully some black swans will parade their new cygnets around very soon.
