  • Australian Reed Warbler

Geez, they are small and super quick.

#1 - It posed for 2 seconds but still hard to get a decent pic.

#2 - Before I could focus and click it was already on the move with nest manufacturing supplies. 1/800th seconds is way to slow for these guys.

My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.

#2 would have been a great shot. It's only a matter of time before you pan one
Better a full bottle in front of me
    than a full frontal lobotomy.

Thanks Hans. It's very frustrating with them being so quick. I will keep trying though.

Good pose in the first one Isac and a clear shot with good subject isolation but still a little noisy perhaps. You have to be lucky with these.

I found I do have a shot of one that just landed in front of me back in June, but not a good angle.

Have you stopped including Exif in your posted images?

Thanks Alan. I had forgotten about turning off EXIF. I'll turn it back on.

    Hi Isac

You might have had 'only a moment' for grab shots - but you've gottem mate ... well done

That first one is really nice. Shame about the blur in the 2nd but what can you do.

Thanks guys. True, I have the shot but would love o get much better quality. Time will tell. David, I had the camera set for still shots and the bird just took off. I might just select my BIF mode and see what happens next time.
