Pekin and Cormorant

I was inspired to post these (just for fun) because of the similarities to Alan's recent bird photos.

#1 - Pekin Ducks

#2 -Australian Pied Cormorant.

Quite similar Isac. The ducks stand out really well against the dark water, although I think a grebe is more attractive.

Plenty of detail in the cormorant and it looks quite wet. I think a lot of their poses happen when they briefly look up while preening.

Cheers Alan. I suppose similarities will occur if we have the same interests in photographing birds. I do agree the grebes are cute. I just wish I could get close enough to one to get a really good shot.

Same here. They are very shy but I keep trying and get the occasional closer shot. This one really was too far away so I was surprised it was sharp enough.
