  • Some from this morning

I went for a wander around Eagleby Wetlands this morning and heard lots of bird calls but didn't see many, much less photograph them, until I was on the way back to the car park. I was thinking it was going to be a wasted morning but was very pleased to get the kite.

Lovely presentation Alan. All well framed and exposure looks good too. The rainbow lorikeet seems a tad over saturated to me - just MHO

Thanks Isac. The sky looks a bit off to me but the lorikeet looks ok. I haven't done much with processing except to brighten it as it was over a stop under-exposed - not sure why and it wasn't the sky background as the sky was under-exposed too. I'll post a version with a couple of tweaks.

A couple of tweaks to the lorikeet to fix the odd looking sky and brighten the lorikeet a tad.

Much better Alan. We all have different ideas about colours. I personally prefer natural colours to enhanced but I think I'm in the minority. Also, everyone's monitor will display image colours differently, that's the way it goes I guess. I have a calibrated IPS panel and some of the images I see on social media platforms are just awful. I'm currently doing a job which has to reproduce their corporate colours in print so my monitor is a must for that.
