  • Fight! fight!

These Australasian Swamphens were having quite a barney on Wednesday. There seemed to be a number of birds fighting each other and, in some cases, several ganging up on another. It went on for ten to fifteen minutes or more.

The quality is not good in these as the light was quite dull at the time, with quite heavy fog and I used a high shutter speed to freeze the action. I missed the shots of them leaping above their opponent - they kept turning around making it impossible to keep a good angle.

Thanks eaglem, it was all spray and pray when I could get a good angle.

Nothing like a bit of action. They were sure at it. Looks good to me. Each picture is a story,
