I went back to Eagleby Wetlands this morning to see if the recent storm had raised the water level. It did but not by much.
Most of the birds refused to pose and those that did were really too far away for a good shot.
1. The main lake now has a large puddle instead of a small one. Most of the bright green here is new growth on the bed of the lake, as it normally fills to the distant trees in the centre. . It had a couple of Wood Ducks, two stilt and a heron but the best access point faces the morning sun, so not good for photos.
2. This is a small pond next to the main lake. It didn't dry but no interesting birds. Until recently the surrounds were too overgrown to be able to access it.
3. Lewins Honeyeater
4. Spangled Drongo
5. Wood Duck
