  • This morning's birds

Seen at Eagleby Wetlands, which is rapidly drying.

    1. Juvenile Pale-vented Bush Hen. A rather dull bird but shy and not often in the open.

    2. Red-browed Finch. I thought about removing some twigs but couldn't decide which ones.

    3. Red-browed Finch. I have cleaned up the background a bit, but still messy.

    4. I haven't worked out what this is yet. I had to remove a lot of twigs and branches from around the bird.

A master birdie at work here Alan. All beautiful shots. I would only remove the grass bit on the face of the RB Finch, the rest is not a distraction really.

Thanks Isac, a good suggestion. I do ok but I’m no master - as you said in another post - a bit of experience and a bit of luck.

Beautiful shots, nicely exposed and framed with lovely smooth backgrounds. As David said the colours on the finch are really striking.

Thanks. Those finches always look to me as though someone has given them a couple of dabs of red paint.
