    #2 - I could hear these Kookaburras and it took a while to spot them. Way up high in a tall gum tree and hard to see. Quite a joyous moment for these old tired eyes.

      Great birdie photos. The doves are always so cautious, I can't get near mine, and I feed them all of the time. The Kookaburras are delightful, and from Ozzy visits, I seem to remember they are reasonably approachable. And a good alarm clock too...:-)

          The Kookas are very loud when laughing and very approachable. They are very cheeky too. They will take food off your plate if you are eating outdoors. Some don't like them "pinching a chip" as this story shows. HERE
